Palace on wheels

Palace on wheels is a train that ranks amongst the top ten luxury trains in the world.The name of the train is quite apt as it really takes you back to the royal bygone era of palaces and luxuries.The train was named so because of the royal background of its coaches.The coaches that once played host to the erstwhile kings and maharajas were taken over by the State government and railway ministry.The air-conditioned broad gauges new train replaced the existing ones.Palace On Wheels now has 14 saloons, 2 restaurants cum kitchen cars,one bar cum lounge and 4 service cars.There is also a comfortable lounge,a library and a bar.
